As part of our Careers programme we have developed links with several companies ranging from local enterprises to international organisations. This has been done both in conjunction with Menphys and direct sourcing ourselves.
So far this year we have secured placements with Caterpillar, British Gas and Forever Savvy. We have also identified opportunities within West Gate that provide a first step on the Routes to Employment programme.

It has given me confidence to learn new things, such as using equipment. I have found out about safety on a work site and using safety equipment. It has made me think about the different options available to me.
I have gained confidence in talking to people and trying things I've neve done before, such as word working skills, using a saw and hammer, cutting grass and making a Christmas tree out of pallets.
It has made me think about a possible career in wood work.
