School Dog

Crash is our school dog and a highly valued member of staff and students enjoy his presence in school. He has been the school dog for 8 years.

When Crash is in school he is available to support students with their emotional regulation, understanding of feelings,  emotions and self-awareness of their behaviours. He can support students who find transitions difficult.  Crash also joins students for some aspects of their curriculum. He will join students when they are reading either in class or the school library. He really enjoys accompanying students when they are exploring the local area, especially going to Western Park.

He also takes part in many of the school’s activities and celebrations.

What our students think of Crash

When I am having a ‘ruff’ day crash makes me feel happy. Looking after Crash has helped me look after my new puppy.

I love spending time with Crash. He makes me feel happy. Crash always listens to me. When Crash is happy he wags his tail. Crash is soft and beautiful.

I feel excited when I see Crash as he cheers me up.
